Electronics is a 60 or 75 minute workshop for grades 7 to 10 with SNAP-ON® electronics kits. Students learn what components such as capacitors and resistors do, move from simple to complex circuits and build a radio, a digital clock or circuits that play music.
Build circuits that play music, laser sounds or a fire-truck siren. Make a radio or a digital clock. Take over the AM waves of a real radio to broadcast your own sounds… From simple to complex circuits, from series to parallel, students spend a great time with the amazing SNAP-ON® electronics kit.
Endless circuits to create with a tool they will want as a gift!
Learning goals (elementary)
- Understand what different Snap On® electronic components do (capacitor, resistor, transformer, diode).
- Complete simple and complex electronic circuits in series and in parallel.
- Follow the assembly booklets.
- Think through mistakes to find their cause.
Learning goals (secondary)
- Identify and gather the components of an electronic circuit.
- Choose and arrange electronic components according to the circuit diagram.
- Describe what some electronic components do (capacitor, resistor, transformer, diode).
- Describe the energy transformations that happen when electronic devices run.
