The Five Senses is a 60-minute workshop for kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 4, organized as five experiments: sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. Students explain how each sense works and discover how our brain can sometimes be fooled.
Did you know umami is thought to be the fifth taste? Or that the smallest bones in the human body let us hear?
Our five senses are full of tricks! To discover and stimulate them, your young scientists take part in 5 fun experiments: using a spectroscope, magnifying glasses, mirrors and a kaleidoscope; handling our giant ear and building their own telephone; tasting our flavours; and identifying our fruity scents and mysterious hidden objects.
A workshop that makes perfect sense!
