At a glance
The 4 Rs is a two-visit project of 60 minutes each for grades 1 to 5, built around four habits: reduce, reuse, recycle and recover, which can cut the waste in a garbage bin in half.
The first visit teaches students to use the recycling bin properly; the second lets them meet, and even handle, the heroes of composting: earthworms. Students explain the science of composting and recycling and build healthy green habits.
Recycling is great, but we can do even more!
